A La Mode Events Partner with The Big Hug Box to deliver a special Christmas RHoK Box Delivery

The Big Hug Box Team are so thrilled that individuals and organisations are choosing to get involved in our Random Hugs of Kindness (RHoK) Deliveries. 

Our RHoK Box Fundraisers are a way to complete a Random Act of Kindness for someone in your local community facing cancer. A small act with an immeasurable positive impact that not only puts a smile on the face of a patient receiving this unexpected giftbox but also a smile on the team behind making this happen.

We recently had the Fast 'n' Fresh Team raise an amazing amount to make their own delivery of our empowering and what many have called "comfort box" to patients and Calvary Mater and now we are so extremely pleased to announce our latest registered fundraiser, whom, at The Big Hug Box HQ, these individuals and businesses, we are calling part of our Kindness Community....

Introducing Five Senses!

If you are from Newcastle you would have heard of the Amazing Five Senses markets. Five Senses Twilight Markets are held seasonally in beautiful Lambton Park. A celebration of fine food, beer & wine, talented artists, designers, makers, shakers..a treat for all the senses.

Ali Cooke, Founder of A La Mode Events (Ali was also our amazing Event Planner for our first Big Hug Box Event " The Big Hug Box Turns One") says

"A La Mode Events are excited to be partnering with The Big Hug Box to spread a little kindness to cancer patients undergoing treatment at The Calvary Mater Newcastle this Christmas.

Having spent time with my mum undergoing treatment at the Mater during her cancer battle and Christmas at Westmead Hospital where she underwent a bone marrow transplant I know all too well how these patients & their loved ones may be feeling in the lead up to what should be the most wonderful time of the year

With two upcoming dates, the 10th November and 1st December, we are hoping to spread as much kindness around this beautiful place we call home this Christmas."

Ali has set the goal to raise $1470 from now up until the conclusion of the second market date on the 1st December. This means that every patient receiving treatment at her chosen cancer centre Calvary Mater, Newcastle will receive a Big Hug Box or what we actually call for these special deliveries a Random Hug of Kindness gifted as a random act.
