We are pleased to introduce Rhiannon from Roam Organics
Rhiannon supplies us with her beautifully blended Anti-Nausea Tea and uplift soak. With her focus on wellness and natural and organic ingredients. Her products were an obvious choice to be included in The Big Hug Box.
How did you get started with your business?
In a nut shell Roam Organics is a result of almost a decade of behind the scenes. I’ve been a NICU nurse for over 14 years and during this time I’ve completed a lot of courses and had a constant interest in skin integrity. When our son was born in 2010, I spent 2 long months on the couch on 'bedrest' waiting for his arrival. It was during this time I started researching blends and formulating a natural alternative to all the nasties we see in mainstream products. I didn't know it then but this way the beginning of something special.
It wasn't until early 2014, I registered my first business which was a one stop baby shop for all things skin, a love also brought on by being a NICU nurse where I found my other passion Infant Massage. It was during an instructor course that I had a light bulb moment to combine all these things into one business. This lay the foundations of my first business and eventually lead to the formation of Roam Organics. I wanted to include a range to focus on the whole family’s wellbeing and incorporate my other love, travel into a range not only for Mum's and bubs, but for the whole family to enjoy with a major focus on wellness.
In 2016 Roam Organics was born and is a mixing pot of all my loves –
family, babies, health, wellness and travel. The range is ‘dedicated to wellness and inspired by travel’. We've come along way in this time and learnt many lessons but we are so proud of what we've achieved. We also love that we can give back to Rheumatoid Arthritis research and be a part of something as special as the Big Hug Box. Something I never dreamed of when starting out.

How did you get involved with The Big Hug Box?
Lisa reached out to me on social media and I’m so glad she did because I love that my products are brightening someone’s day and that I have made a new friend in the process.
Has cancer effected your life?
I think you’ll find that unfortunately cancer has touched us all in one way or another. My beautiful Aunt recently lost her battle with cancer and as cliched as it sounds it highlights how precious each day you have on this earth really is. Also, being a Registered Nurse I have come across it in my profession as well. I feel so blessed to be a part of the Big Hug Box because it is all about giving back
and putting a positive spin on a word that has so many negative connotations is a special thing to be a part of.
What is your favourite small business?
Ohh I have lots! There are some beautiful small businesses out there but I really admire Crystal from Design Twins. I mean who doesn’t love homewares and I totally love how she has built her empire with her hubby. One talented lady and Mama right there! And of course, it goes without saying I love the ethos of the Big Hug Box and everything you have created. Your drive and passion in giving back to the very people that helped you is definitely worth a mention and you deserve to be put up on a pedestal.
What song lifts you when you've had a tough day?
Ohhh I think this is going to show my age by answering this!! I do find that nothing beats a little Backstreet Boys, Michael Buble or Sam Smith. I have a very eclectic taste in music, I love pop music and easy listening but I always find no matter what mood you’re in there’s always time for a sing along in the car to either one!
Any tips for your product?
Enjoy them! They were mindfully designed to promote wellness for all walks of life. Our range extends from bath and body care to lifestyle and teas, so each product has been carefully crafted for both aroma and benefit. We know that a scent can trigger memories, so we strive to transport your senses all over the globe without leaving your house. We also know that living with auto immune
conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis can be a daily struggle, so we have carefully chosen oils and herbs in the body care range that target inflammation as well as tricky skin conditions such as eczema to each of our products.
Who gives the best hugs in your life?
Now I’ve got the potential to get in trouble when my other half reads this but I’d have to say our children give the best hugs. There is nothing more precious than little bear hugs around your neck. And those extra tight ones when you come home from work when they haven’t seen you all day are extra special.
