The Big Hug Box celebrates it's First Year of supporting Australians through cancer
On the 2nd of February over 90 guests from all over Australia came together to help to celebrate The Big Hug Box turning one at Merewether Surfhouse, Newcastle.
There were many highlights of the night, including hearing from Patient Advocate, Gail O'Brien (OA), our amazing Ambassador Tracy Morel and also Founder, Lisa Greissl. With amazing auctioneering by Tegan Kleinman from LJ Hooker Belmont we had an outstanding amount raised from our auction items.
A very big thank you to all those local companies that generously donated. By the end of the night, we were successful in raising over $4,300 for Cure Cancer as well as contributing 12 Mini RHoK boxes to our next delivery.
Performances were absolutely outstanding by local artist Vinnie Redgrove but particularly from our own Ambassador, Tracy Morel. What an amazing voice!
Watch the video below to share a glimpse of the evening. Thankyou to Duncan Burck MCB Business Partners for putting this video together for us.
On personal note, whilst I, Lisa Greissl am completely humbled by the wishes and messages on this video, the success of The Big Hug Box could not have been done without your support. I am extremely grateful for everyone who has been part of 2018 and look forward to 2019.
A very big Thank You goes to everyone who helped making the night a huge success including A La Mode Events, Illumination of Life Photography, Kurtzys Flowers and Events, Cupids Corner, Merewether Surfhouse, LJ Hooker Belmont and all the generous businesses who donated towards this wonderful evening.
Big Hugs to you all
Lisa
